The Application Assistance Program

C5 seeks to strengthen and expand the number of community colleges across the nation that have earned the NSA/DHS National Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) designation for cybersecurity education.

The Application Assistance Program (AAP) matches approved mentee institutions with qualified mentors who assist them in completing the CAE application process. Starting in September 2016, all applicants new to the CAE process must begin by completing the New Applicant Inventory published on the website of the National IA Education & Training Programs (NIETP).

To apply to receive mentoring from the Application Assistance Program, submit the New Applicant Inventory form, available for download via the Mentee Application Process page.

The project lead for the Application Assistance Program is C5 Co-PI Corrinne Sande, who is also the director of CyberWatch West and the chair of the Technology Department at Whatcom Community College.
